Unnamed Pakistani Walks into Turkish Embassy in US, Donates $30m for quakes Victims. Prime Minister Shehbaz said on Saturday that a US-based Pakistani had donated $30 million to the families of those killed and injured in the earthquakes in southern Turkey and Syria.

Shahbaz tweeted: “So impressed by an Unnamed Pakistani model who walked into the Turkish embassy in the US and donated $30 million to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.”

He added that it is a wonderful charity that allows humanity to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges.

On Thursday, the Prime Minister formed a special committee of ministers to oversee the collection of funds and relief materials for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

He informed that a committee has been constituted to review and discuss ways to speed up the ongoing collections and relief operations in a meeting held in Islamabad.

The council meets daily to ensure the timely delivery of funds and relief supplies to earthquake-affected areas.

Meanwhile, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Saturday announced on its official Twitter handle that Pakistan International Airlines and Turkish Airlines have dispatched two more rescue planes from Lahore to Turkey.

Although, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) said that a plane carrying 16.5 tons of humanitarian aid for earthquake victims has arrived in Adana, southern Turkey.

Moreover, the PAF is also cooperating with the Ministry of External Affairs and the Pakistan Embassy in Ankara to repatriate Pakistani nationals, the statement said.
