Blast derails train in Balochistan

QUETTA: On Friday, an explosion targeted the Jaffar Express, injuring at least eight passengers, two of them seriously, and derailing two bogies of the train near the Mach area of Kachhi district of Balochistan. Levies sources said on Friday.

Eight injured as blast targets Jaffar Express in Balochistan: According to sources, the nature of the explosion is still unknown. According to him, the explosion damaged two train cars and the track. They also said that the injured passengers were taken to Sibi, and the condition of two of them was serious.

Frontier Corps (FC) and Levies personnel reached the spot and cordoned off the area to begin investigation. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo said “criminals behind the incident must be brought to justice.”

After the blast, train services were suspended, causing problems for women, children and the elderly. Security has been tightened in the area to prevent any untoward incident. “Train traffic will be restored immediately and the injured will be treated promptly,” said Interior Minister Mir Ziaullah Langu.

Although, The incident comes three days after a 12-inch gas pipeline burst in the mountains of Bolan district, cutting off gas supply to the provincial capital Quetta and other areas of Balochistan….
